Learning Objectives

  • Appraise the research for EMDR intensives and key differences between EMDR intensives and traditional EMDR therapy.

  • Analyze three screening tools for assessing client readiness for EMDR intensives.

  • Appraise presenting symptoms and clinician skill level to identify rule-ins and rule-outs for EMDR intensive sessions.

  • Apply knowledge of the Adaptive Information Processing system to aid in target selection.

  • Describe at least three ways to address blocked processing.

  • Describe at least three ways to navigate phase 7 (closure).

About Your Trainer, Erika Yourdan

Erika is an LMFT-Supervisor, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, EMDRIA approved consultant, and a doctoral candidate. She is also a licensed addiction counselor and a licensed chemical dependency counselor. Erika owns a group practice, The Sum of You Counseling, PLLC, in Abilene, Texas where she regularly offers EMDR intensives and specializes in complex and generational trauma, substance use, and EMDR with couples and families. Both in therapy and in teaching roles, Erika approaches with curiosity, compassion, and an invitation to gently lean into the unknown.

Prerequisites

To register for this course, you must have completed Parts 1 and 2 of EMDR Basic Training.

Continuing Education

6 CEs are available upon completion of all course material.

Kase & CO is an approved continuing education provider. ACE, NBCC and EMDRIA CEs are available for this course.  APA CEs are not available for this course.

Participants must complete the full training to receive credit.

Course Completion

To receive a CE certificate, participants must complete the entire course, complete the post-test with a score of 80% of above, and complete the course evaluation. You may retake the post-test as needed. Once completed, a CE certificate will auto-populate to your online account.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations requested more than 48 hours prior to the live training are eligible for a refund, minus a $20 administrative fee. Cancellation requests can be submitted via email to admin@kaseandco.com. Refunds are not available for cancellations requested after the recorded video is available on-demand.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

ACE Approved Provider

Kase & CO, #1869, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.
