Burnout 101

Braving The Burnout

We are all feeling the weight of the collective grief, loss, and trauma that the past two years have brought us. And it is heavy. Not only have we been carrying this weight for ourselves in the isolation of our homes but also for our clients—day in and day out.

We are needing collective healing and hope.

Our caseloads are full. Our waitlists are long. Our breaks are fewer. We’re depleted and exhausted. We’ve been feeling less effective and able to make a difference. It seems the work is unending amidst compounding suffering, loss, and trauma. We’ve been ignoring or suppressing it as a means of survival—but we’re breaking down. We hear you. We see you. We’re with you. We want to help.

We recognize that supporting our healer community with their burnout is essential in order for us to sustain this important work. So where do we go from here...

About Burnout 101:
The Myths, The Truths, The Fix

As a mental health professional, it can be jarring to realize you’re burnt out – and let me say now – BURNOUT IS NOT YOUR FAULT.

There are reasons that you burn out that are easy to see in clients and sometimes harder to see in yourselves. During this event, we will share space to discuss the red flags, the causes (both internal and external), the lies you’ve been told, and the true fixes that you need for yourself before you can go on serving others – and I promise, some of them will surprise you!

Meet Cait Donovan
